Carle Illinois College of Medicine, the world’s first engineering-based medical school, was established in 2015 through a partnership between Carle Health and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.  This pioneering institution trains physician-innovators to integrate engineering, technology, and clinical expertise to transform patient care and health systems.
