Carle Health – What to Expect Post Offer

Welcome to Carle Health.
At Carle Health, we are committed to improving health, advancing care, and serving our communities. Your journey matters to us—this guide will walk you through what to expect every step of the way.

What you can expect:
• A welcoming and supportive onboarding experience.
• Clear communication throughout your hiring process.
• Training and tools to help you succeed in your role.

After offer is accepted:
• Complete all assigned tasks in Workday within 72 hours of offer.
• Submit required documentation (ID, certifications, licenses if applicable).
• You will receive onboarding tasks in Workday; watch for emails with important instructions.

Background Check:
• Initiated after offer acceptance – complete within 72 hours of offer.
• Processing times may vary – not completing your background forms within 72 hours can delay your start date.

Education Verification:
All education credentials (including GEDs, high school diplomas, and degrees) will be verified directly with the issuing institutions.

References:
• Must be completed within 3 days of offer acceptance.
• Delays may impact your start date.

Physical Screening
• Must be completed within 30 days of start.
• Delays may impact your start date.

This step confirms all requirements are complete.

Includes:
• Background check reviewed and approved.
• References completed.
• Documentation verified.

Important:
Carle Health does not allow team members to begin work until full clearance is received.

Your onboarding experience is designed to help you feel confident and prepared. Orientation at Carle Health is completed virtually via Microsoft Teams on day one.
Orientation includes:

  • Carle Health mission, values, and expectations

  • Safety and compliance training

  • Benefits Overview and Enrollment

  • Badging

  • Parking


Your department training will include:

  • Department-specific onboarding

  • Hands-on learning with your team

  • Ongoing support from your leader and colleagues

When is my start date confirmed?
Your start date is confirmed once all pre-employment requirements have been completed, including background check clearance.

Why does my background check take time?
Background checks are completed through third-party providers and timelines may vary based on verification requirements, name history, and state processing times.

Can my start date change?
In some cases, yes. If requirements are still in progress, your start date may be adjusted.

How will I know who I report to?
Candidates often meet with multiple team members during the interview process. To confirm your direct supervisor, please refer to your offer letter.

Where do I go on day one?
All orientations for Carle Health are done virtually via Microsoft Teams on day one.

Where do I report for my first day in the department?
Prior to your first day department, your supervisor will contact you with instructions on where to report.

Who should I contact with questions?
Your recruiter is your primary point of contact.

What is Workday?
Workday is our secure employee portal and will be used throughout your employment.

In Workday, you can:

  • Complete onboarding tasks

  • Access your schedule and job information

  • View pay, benefits, and personal information

  • Complete required training

Background Check Language

  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of all pre-employment requirements, including background checks.

  • Carle Health does not permit employees to begin work until all required clearances are completed.

  • Background check timelines may vary based on third-party processing and verification requirements.


Start Date Disclaimer

  • Start dates are not finalized until all pre-employment requirements are completed.

  • Delays in required clearances may result in adjustments to the anticipated start date.


Workday / Task Completion

  • Candidates are responsible for completing all assigned onboarding tasks in a timely manner.

  • Failure to complete required tasks may delay the onboarding process and start date.


Communication Language

  • Your recruiter serves as your primary point of contact during the hiring and onboarding process.

  • Carle Health will make reasonable efforts to provide timely updates regarding your onboarding status.


Non-Guarantee Clause

  • Completion of onboarding steps does not guarantee employment until all conditions of hire are satisfied.
